All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records

201594 mins

Established in 1960, Tower Records was once a retail force to be reckoned with 200 stores, in thirty nations, on five landmasses. From humble beginnings in an unassuming community pharmacy, Tower Records ultimately turned into the substance of the music world, and a strong power in the music business. In 1999, Tower Records made $1 billion. In 2006, the organization sought financial protection. What turned out badly? Everybody thinks they realize what killed Tower Records: The Internet. In any case, that is not the story. Everything Must Pass is a component narrative film looking at this notorious organization’s hazardous direction, lamentable end, and heritage manufactured by its insubordinate organizer, Russ Solomon.
