Dick Proenneke resigned at age 50 of every 1967 and chosen to fabricate his own lodge in the wild at the foundation of the Aleutian Peninsula, in what is presently Lake Clark National Park. Utilizing shading film he shot himself, Proenneke follows how he arrived at this distant region, chose a residence site and constructed his log lodge totally without anyone else. The narrative covers his first year in-country, showing his everyday exercises and the death of the seasons as he tried to fix a living alone in the wilderness.
