Magic Trip: Ken Kesey’s Search for a Kool Place

2011107 mins

A freewheeling representation of Ken Kesey and the Merry Prankster’s famous excursion across America in the incredible Magic Bus. In 1964, Ken Kesey, the renowned creator of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” set off on an incredible, LSD-fuelled crosscountry excursion to the New York World’s Fair. He was joined by “The Merry Band of Pranksters,” a maverick gathering of nonconformity truth-searchers, including Neal Cassady, the American symbol deified in Kerouac’s “On the Road,” and the driver and painter of the hallucinogenic Magic Bus.
