In August of 1949, Life Magazine ran a pennant feature that made one wonder: “Jackson Pollock: Is he the best living painter in the United States?” The film is a think once more into the existence of an uncommon man, a man who has fittingly been designated “a craftsman devoted to disguise, a superstar who no one knew.” As he battled with self-question, participating in a desolate back-and-forth between expecting to communicate his thoughts and needing to close the world out, Pollock started a descending spiral.
