Pulp tracked down popularity on the world stage during the 1990s with songs of praise including ‘Everyday citizens’ and ‘Disco 2000’. 25 years (and 10 million collection deals) later, they return to Sheffield for their last UK show. Giving a profession best execution select to the film, the musicians share their contemplations on notoriety, love, mortality – and vehicle upkeep. Chief Florian Habicht (Love Story) weaves together the band’s very own contributions with dream-like exceptionally arranged tableaux including normal individuals selected in the city of Sheffield. Mash is a music film like no other – by turns amusing, moving, invigorating and (sometimes) bewildering.
